Method for constructing walls in situ in the form of ribbed thin shells by spraying a suitably mixed structural material onto a spraying support, characterised in that the structural material, such as concrete for example, is sprayed onto a spraying support constituted by a plate (board) 1 in the support face or receiving face 1' of which are provided grooves or channels 2 and which, after filling the latter and forming a concrete layer in front of the said support face, enables a thin shell 3 provided with ribs 3' to be produced; the said spraying support 1 is advantageously constructed from a material intended to provide a necessary function to the walls of the future construction such as, for example: thermal insulation (insulating material); mechanical strength (metal); weatherproofness (bituminous support); decorative appearance (plastic or resinous support), etc., it being possible for several materials to be combined in the construction of this support so as to obtain several functions. <IMAGE>
