The defectoscope is used for the non-destructive testing of materials and components. It consists of an oscillator with one of its inductance coils acting as an electromagnetic transducer connected in series with a circuit for detecting the presence of a defect in the component under test. A resonant amplifier 4 is connected electrically to the output from the oscillator and to the input of the detector circuit 5. One of the components of the oscillator circuit 7 in the resonant amplifier 4 forms a regulator 9 for adjusting the sensitivity of the defectoscope. Application particularly to the non-destructive testing of turbine shafts, discs and blades in aircraft engines. <IMAGE>
