PURPOSE:To obtain a power generation device compact and chiep while having good controllabilty, by connecting a serial circuit of a resistor and a turn-off thyristor in parallel to the DC output side of a cell when inverting DC output of the fuel cell into AC power by an inverter. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen 3 and hydrogen 4 are sent into a fuel cell 1 having a number of built-in cells 2 and generated DC output is applied to an inverter 6 through an DC breaker 5 while making AC power 17, to be output therefrom. In said constitution, a serial circuit consisting of a resistor 14 and a thyristor which makes high speed make-and break is connected in parallel to the output side of the cell 1, while on-off controlling the thyristor 15 using a control device 16. When the inverter 6 is in a sown state and the breaker 5 is in an open state, output voltage of the cell 1 is heightened, whereby output voltage being restricted below the prescribed value by the thyristor 15. Further, rise in output voltage at a starting time is also regulated by the thyristor 15. |
