PURPOSE:To facilitate the dissolution of water-glass, and to improve the ground by solidifying the water-glass rapidly, by supplying incompletely hydrated powdery water-glass and its dissolving medium in the ground to be improved. CONSTITUTION:(A) Powdery water-glass hydrated to a water-content of usually <=15% (preferably about 10-15%) and (B) a medium for dissolving the component (A) and composed of hot water or steam, etc., are injected into the ground to improve the ground. The component (A) can be prepared, e.g. by melting the raw material of water-glass to obtain cullet (Na2O.3SiO2), crushing the cullet to 100-200 mesh by a ball mill, etc., adding 10-15% of water to the powdery water-glass, and heating the mixture, or reacting the powdery water-glass with the required amount of water while stirring. |
