MAGNETIC-ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR OPENING AND CLOSING LOCKS

A system for opening and closing locks includes a key (2) in which the opening code is formed by a series of crenelate openings in a soft iron sheet (5). The key (2) is inserted into a prismatic casing (9, 10) in the lock which includes a permanent magnet and a series of magnetic detectors which are connected to a microprocessor which controls blocking/unblocking elements of the lock. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 5-7) the key comprises a hollow cylindrical stem containing a plurality of spaced parallel discs of soft iron forming the opening code.
