PURPOSE:To always keep a magnetic head and a recording medium in a non- contact state, and to improve the reliability by constituting a magnetic head load mechanism by using a special material, for instance, a shape memory alloy, and a material having no relation to a temperature and having a restoring force against a displacement. CONSTITUTION:A shape memory alloy 3 is heated, for instance, to >=50 deg.C and bent so that it becomes a shape for pressing a magnetic head 1 against a recording medium 7, and its shape is stored. When a device stops, the open air is introduced into the device, a temperature of 0-30 deg.C is held, therefore, a restoring force of the shape memory alloy 3 is lost, a load given to the magnetic head by a spring reaction force of a plate spring 4 is eliminated, and the magnetic head 1 is separated from the recording medium 7. When the device is operated, the device is cut off from the open air, and a temperature in the device rises to >=50 deg.C, therefore, the shape memory alloy 3 is restored to a memory shape, and a load is given to the magnetic head. |
