In the case of a front end (1) which in one piece contains a bumper region (2) and a further region (3) for the formation of a radiator grille (4) and lamp holders (5), there is provided in the central part between the two regions (2, 3) a gap (12) so that if the protruding bumper region (2) makes slight contact with an obstacle, the bumper region (2) can deflect freely without damaging the remaining parts of the front end (1) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
