<p>PURPOSE:To attain effective movement control by recognizing data in a data storage means for displaying a cell operating state executive for save at each locker frame to control the movement of a data cartridge to the save-exclusive cell. CONSTITUTION:Plural locker frames 6 comprising plural cells storing the data cartridge are provided and the data cartridge is moved between cells by a carrying means 1. A communication register 5 is provided with a communication data area 5a and a reserve cell information area 5b. When other data cartridge is stored already in a cell of moving destination, the display state of the area 5b is read to an access controller 2 by a controller 3 or 4 and when the display state is idle, a saving instruction to the reserve cell is issued to the controller 2. When the saving operation is finished, the saving to the reserve cell is reported to a host device. Thus, efficient movement control is applied.</p> |
