In a device for ventilating roofed areas such as animal stalls or the like, a roof attachment is fitted on a roof opening, in the side walls of which attachment there are formed the ventilating openings (15), which can be closed by closure flaps (18) which can be pivoted about upright spindles (17), for which purpose a plurality of closure flaps are connected to one another, by means of a rod arrangement (22 to 23), for common actuation. Particularly effective ventilation is achieved if the closure flaps (18) of the opposite side walls move in one another in the open position. <IMAGE>
