The invention relates to a seal between moving parts in cylinder-piston systems operated by compressed gas, having an annular sealing means which can be deformed under the effect of compressed gas. This sealing means is provided with at least one, preferably concave, recess in such a way that the pressing of its sealing surface against the counter-surface of the cylinder-piston system is intensified. The sealing means is held in a recess of the cylinder-piston system by means of a washer. The washer is provided with at least one axial passage for the compressed gas to flow into the at least one recess of the sealing means. The seal according to the invention is intended in particular in the case of movement of parts with an uneven surface, for example ropes.
