In a ski stick, in the interior of the handle (19), the upper tube end (11) is axially displaceable, to be precise counter to the force of a compression spring (14) arranged in the handle (19). Stick (10) and handle (19) are thus longitudinally displaceable relative to one another, but they are prevented from rotating with respect to one another in that there is fastened non-rotatably on the handle (19) a hexagon-head screw (27, 28) which projects, with its head (18), into a cutout (16) which is located in the upper stick portion (11) and has a hexagonal cross-section. Said hexagon head (28) thus serves as a means for preventing rotation and, at the same time, as an axial stop. <IMAGE>
