PURPOSE:To maintain durability at a high speed, improve safety for controlling, and improve riding quality by providing a pair of right and left reinforcing layers of which the tip ends are positioned in a crown part and the bottom ends are positioned in between shoulder parts and bead parts respectively, on the outside of a carcass layer and providing a band layer on their outside. CONSTITUTION:In a pair of right and left reinforcing layers 6, 7 which are placed on the outside of a carcass 5, the top ends are positioned in a crown part while the bottom ends are positioned in zones between shoulder parts and bead parts 4 respectively, and the cords are arranged at an angle of 20-50 deg. to the peripheral direction of a tire. And, the interval Wc between the top ends of both the reinforcing layers 6, 7 is defined as about 10-60% of a tread width Wt. Also, the height h1 of the bottom end 6b, 7b of the reinforcing layers 6, 7 is set at about 10-70% of the height H of the section of tire. Further, a band 8 having cords arranged in the peripheral direction of tire and a width Wb of about 20-70% of the tread width Wt, is provided on the outside of the reinforcing layers 6, 7, overlapping the top ends 6a, 7a. By this construction, safety in controlling and riding quality can be improved.
