Civil-defence residential building

The invention has as departure point a civil-defence residential building for sheltering in states of emergency, in which the building itself ensures the necessary shelter for accommodating the inhabitants. The invention provides a residential building of this type by means of which it is no longer necessary for the inhabitants to leave the building during states of emergency. The building is constructed over a cellar region which is designed as a bunker and is equipped with an elevating mechanism by means of which, in everyday life, the building is held on the ground surface and by means of which the building can be lowered owing to a current pulse. In this manner, it is achieved that, after lowering, the armoured roof of the building forms, together with the cellar walls, a uniform bunker which encloses the building. Furthermore, the invention also ensures that the building is protected from earth vibrations since the lowered building rests on vibration insulators.
