A hydrofoil sailing boat has front and rear hydrofoils which penetrate through or into the surface, and an asymmetrical wing sail. Both hydrofoils have an inverse curved configuration and a cross section which approximately corresponds to a segment of a circle. The wing sail has an reversible asymmetry, is held on a projecting, rotatable mast and includes a sail sock which is firmly clamped between a one-part head frame member and a two-part, articulated base frame member. The asymmetry of the wing sail is determined by the relative position of the sections of the base frame member.
