The device forms a detector mat having a signal film (2) provided, on at least one of its flat sides, with electrodes (4 to 8 and 9 to 13) which form a multiplicity of pressure-sensitive transducer elements (4 to 8 and 9 to 13) with the signal film (2) and which are provided in each case with an electrical connecting conductor (16, 18). According to the invention, the electrical connecting conductors (16, 18) are sewn onto the electrodes (4 to 8 and 9 to 13). Consequently, a flexible connection of the connecting conductor (16, 18) to its electrodes is readily obtained without thermally loading the film and the connection has good electrical conduction. <IMAGE>
