A toilet has been developed in order to reduce the water consumption of stationary and mobile toilets, to improve automatic cleaning of the same and to reduce the aggravating odour. The principle is that the faeces-collecting trough can be tilted or rotated and is cleaned by means of a liquid jet nozzle. Furthermore, a subatmospheric-pressure ventilating means may be installed in order to keep the aggravating odour during this unpleasant, but necessary operation as low as possible.
