A door leaf of a fireproof door, having a self-supporting door-leaf casing enclosing one or more cavities, has favourable properties, in particular in terms of the weight and the safety of those using the door, if at least one of the large delimiting surfaces of the cavities is equipped with an insulating-material-forming coating (10). According to Figure 4, the cavity can be subdivided into two cavities by means of a partition wall (6), it being possible, when the door is open or the door leaf is detached, for the sheet-metal casing (1) to be opened in order to inspect and, if required, to renew the insulating-material-forming coatings (10). <IMAGE>
