Method and arrangement for fastening a cable clip to an end of an insulated lead. A tubular cylindrical part of a cable clip is held between upper and lower pressure plates by means of pressure applied by an operating arm with several functions. One end of a covered or insulated lead is held between an insertion carriage and a holder and is taken forward towards an open end of the cylindrical part of the cable clip by means of an insertion arm. The core lead or wire is pressed into the cylindrical part while the surrounding insulation is compressed and taken backwards by contact with the end of the cylindrical part. The operating arm is moved to clamp the cylindrical part fast onto the core wire. Thereafter the operating arm is turned to separate the pressure plates, after which the lead is withdrawn and the compressed insulation is taken forwards to cover the cylindrical part. <IMAGE> |
