PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the cleaning power by a method wherein the drive of a pecking rod, which prevents combustion ash from fixing on the air nozzles of a soda recovery boiler, a combustion furnace to burn poor calorie fuel, and the like, is motorized and at the same time the shape of the rod is improved. CONSTITUTION:A spherical part 12 is formed at the tip of a pecking rod 10 so as to clean an air nozzle over wide range and to prevent combustion ash from fixing onto the tip of the pecking rod 10 and the sticking and burn-out of the rod 10 from occurring. Further, a guide rail 18 is applied as a supporting device so as to enable to realize the smooth reciprocating motion of the pecking rod 10 and, in addition, bearings 17 are employed so as to minimize the contact resistance between the supporting legs 15 of the pecking rod 10 and the guide rail 18. Furthermore, when the air nozzle is clogged, a lead rod for lancing air nozzle 14 is pulled out as far as stoppers 19 come into contact with each other so as to make an opening at the tip 12 of the pecking rod 10, resulting in jetting compressed air (a) entered through a compressed air charging port 20 from the tip 12 of the pecking rod 10 in order to be able to clean the air nozzle. |
