PURPOSE:A thermal transfer recording medium available for high-quality image of excellent regenerative property of color tone and gradation by coating the surface of supporting body with heat-fusible layer and binding agent layer and allowing inside each individual layer color-forming material and developer to be contained in a separate manner. CONSTITUTION:Over a supporting body (for instance, paper, etc.) heat-fusible layer containing heat-fusible substance (for instance, paraffin wax, etc.) and binding agent layer containing between this layer and said supporting body a layer or more of substance of sortening point of 100% and above as a binding agent (for instance, polyvinylbutyral, etc.) are coated and between these 2 different layers, and coloress or (lightly colored color forming substance (for instance, chrystal violet, lactone, etc.) and color developer (for instance, phenol, etc.) which makes said color-forming substance develop color when heated are contained in a separate manner and thus, the required heat-sensitive recording medium is obtained. |
