<p>PURPOSE:To improve mounting workability, by a method wherein the front edge part of the lower lip of a weather strip, inserted in an opening between the mounting flange of a retainer and a lid panel, is mounted inclinably in an inserting direction on the peripheral edge side of roof opening. CONSTITUTION:A pair of upper and lower holding lips 10 and 17 are integrally mounted to the inner wall of a mounting base 8 of a weather strip 16. The lower holding lip 17 is formed in size shorter than that of the upper holding lip 10. The front edge part of the lower holding lip 17 is inclined in the inserting direction of the weather strip 16 toward the peripheral opening of an opening in a roof. A width T of the lower end of the lower holding lip 17 and a width U of the upper end are set to a relation of T<S<U in relation to a width S of an inserting opening between the periphery part of a lid panel 2 and a mounting flange 7 of a retainer 5 of a lid panel 3.</p> |
