<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking and partial deterioration of a magnetic tape by winding the endless magnetic tape around a reel, and pressing the upper edge of the magnetic tape with a brake lever and suppressing fluctuations of the tape with a small force. CONSTITUTION:One end of the brake lever 12 is fixed threadably to a boss 13 formed on an upper case 2 together with a metallic plate 14 and a thin flexible part 15 is formed on its attachment part side; and a rubber plate 16 for pressing the upper edge of the magnetic tape 8 is fixed to an intermediate part and a pin-shaped reception part 17 is formed at the other end. Further, a spring 18 is interposed between an upper case 2 and the brake lever 12. An opening 20 facing the reception part 17 and another opening 21 are formed in the bottom of a cassette case 1, i.e. a reel base 19 and the bottom of a lower case 3, and another opening 22 is formed in the bottom of the lower case 3. Thus, the edge of the magnetic tape 8 is clamped by the rubber plate 16 of the brake lever 12 and reel base 19 to inhibit the vertical motion of the magnetic tape 8 with a small clamping force.</p> |
