PURPOSE:To thermally welding a plurality of thermoplastic items without damaging the surface appearance, by placing the plurality of thermoplastic items one over the other, then pressing a heated pin from the undersurface to be inserted adjacent to the surface, and then withdrawing the pin. CONSTITUTION:On the undersurface of a resin item 1 that will constitute the surface of the intended article, is placed another resin item 2, and from over the resin item 2 the pin 3 that has been heated to or over the melting temperatures of the resin items 1, 2 is pressed and inserted. The pin 3 is passed through the resin item 2 to enter the resin item 1, and after the pin 3 has reached just before a point where the surface of the resin item 1 will be attacked by the heat of the pipe 3, the pin 3 is withdrawn immediately. In proportion to the number of points 6 where they are melted and joined as shown at 7, the bonding strength can be improved. It is required that the resin items 1, 2 are compatible to each other. |
