PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molded item with partially thickened section or a reinforcing rib on the undersurface, by pouring a prescribed amount of a melted resin on a prescribed part of a sheet that has been heated and is to be formed, and vacuum-molding the sheet with said part pressed by a partial top force. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed amount of a melted resin 5 is poured on a part of a sheet 2 that has been heated to be formed where the thickness is to be increased or a reinforcing rib is to be applied, and vacuum molding is effected with said part pressed by the partial top force 1. The resin 5 goes to the gap between the inner surface of a recess 9 of the vacuum mold 6 and the top force 1, and also flows into a slit 10 of the top force 1 to fill it. Thus a reinforcing rib 4 is integrally formed with the undersurface and a projected section 12 is prevented from becoming thin. |
