PURPOSE:To provide a pulsating combustion device with a wide range of combustion rate change while keeping favorable burning state by a structure wherein the range is enlarged, in which the air flow rate corresponding to the gas flow rate can be obtained. CONSTITUTION:A small air chamber 24, which has a vent hole 24a and is provided with a damper 25 to block off the vent holes 24 by gravity from the outside thereof and is communicated with a blower 3' via a suction hole 4'a, is provided within an air cushioning chamber 2. Due to the above-mentioned structure of the small air chamber 24, when the combustion turns to be in stable state and the operation of the blower 3' is stopped, combustion air is turned to be sucked by the action of negative pressure developed within a combustion chamber 21. Because, in this case, the damper 25 is put into an open state as indicated with dotted lines in the attached figure by the action of negative pressure and air is allowed to directly flow from the small air chamber 24 through the vent hole 24a into the air cushioning chamber 2 except through an air flow passage formed within the blower 3', the flow resistance developed in the course of the air flow passage into the air cushioning chamber 2 is strikingly reduced. Accordingly, the increase of gas flow rate by controlling gas pressure and the consequent increase of combustion rate causes to enlarge the magnitude of negative pressure so as to obtain the air flow rate corresponding to the combustion rate, resulting in widening the range of combustion rate and enabling to keep favorable combustion in proper excess air ratio. |
