PURPOSE:To keep time intervals constant by correcting a point changing preliminary running time from the home position of an illuminating device to the tip of an original due to change of stop position by changing the time from a reference time to the starting time of preliminary running of the illuminating device. CONSTITUTION:An original is placed on a contact glass 1, and an illuminating device having a lamp 2 is guided by a guide rod 4 to make reciprocation and illuminates and scans the original on the contact glass 1. A wire 6 is fixed to a carrier 5 that carries the illuminating device 3 and slides on and guided by the guide rod 4. This wire 6 is wound on two pulleys 7, 8 and further wound on a pulley 10 fixed to the output shaft of a driving motor 9. The wire 6 is moved by rotation of the output shaft of the driving motor 9, and the carrier 5, i.e. the illuminating device 3 is moved accordingly. |
