PURPOSE:To eliminate distribution mechanism and improve the service life and construction while preventing the occurrence of electric wave noise by connecting several optically triggered thyristor elements corresponding to the number of engine cylinders to an ignition coil and using them as a high voltage electricity distribution means. CONSTITUTION:An ignition control device 2 successively outputs gate signals to one of the optical fiber cable group 8 which is connected to one of the optically triggered thyristor group 7, corresponding to a cylinder to be ignited, through a light emitting diode. Thereby, ignition voltage can be provided to ignition plugs 5 selectively passing through the optical thyristor group 7. Thereby, a mechanical distribution mechanism can be eliminated, improving the service life and construction, while the occurrence of electric wave noise can be prevented. |
