PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a controlling device by storing plural speed data that determine the rotating speed of a stepping motor in a memory, setting a value that corresponds to the speed data to a programmable timer and changing excitation of the motor according to the output of the timer. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a motor driver that energizes the electric coil of each phase of a stepping motor M7 that reciprocates an image reading and scanning mechanism, a memory that stores plural motor speed data that determine switching period of excitation controlling signal applied to the driver and a programmable timer. Specified motor speed data are read out from the memory, and data corresponding to the data are set to the programmable time. The excitation controlling signal applied to the motor driver according to output of the timer is changed. When the output signal of the programmable timer appears specified number of times N1 at the time of acceleration, and appears specified number of times N2 at the time of deceleration, motor speed data of each memory are read out and address is renewed by a controlling device. |
