PURPOSE:To control the supply of fuel with a high degree of accuracy, by storing, in a memory, the characteristics of air flow capacity related to an opening degree of a throttle valve, an air flow capacity and a differential pressure between the upstream and downstream sides of the throttle valve, and by computing the opening degree of the throttle valve from a detected differential pressure and a desired air flow capacity. CONSTITUTION:The characteristics of air flow capacity related to an opening degree of a throttle valve theta, an air flow capacity QA and a differential pressure DELTAP between the upstream and downstream sides of the throttle valve are previously stored in a memory in a computer for controlling an internal-combustion engine, and interpolating computation is made to calculate a corresponding opening degree of the throttle valve from a differential pressure between the upstream and downstream sides of the throttle valve, and a desired air flow capacity in accordance with the opening degree of an accelerator. This opening degree instruction is delivered to a servo-mechanism including a D.C. motor, etc. to control the air flow capacity. With this arrangement, air fed to the engine can be controlled with a high degree of accuracy at an arbitrary speed. |
