PURPOSE:To always feed out paper sheets stably by detecting a change of humidity with a humidity detecting circuit and controlling contact pressure of two rollers for feeding paper shees according to a humidity change. CONSTITUTION:When in a cartridge, for example, humidity is changed in the direction of increasing, a humidity detection signal is output from comparators 54-60 of a memory circuit 61 according to such a change, and a motor 25(=81) is turned in the left direction through a motor driving circuit 24 by a microcomputer of a control circuit 62. A roller 84 is pressed to the right through a cam 82, and a gear portion of a segment gear 83 supported by an E-clip 85 is turned to the left, so that a brake 87 with a tension roller integral with a plate gear 80 engaged with the gear 83 is rotated counter-clockwise against spring 90 force round the end 87a thereof. Thus, contact pressure of a feed roller 74 with a tension roller 86 is lowered, so that if the coefficient of friction of paper money 77 is enlarged by a rise in humidity, the paper money 77 can be easily drawn out. |
