The production line for small components (5) includes a conveyor belt (4) which is formed by a ribbon of plastics foil. At the first operating station (2), a reel (7) of plastics foil is located. As the foil ribbon (4) is drawn off the reel, it is loaded with components (5). The components are the moved to different operating stations (10,13) along the conveyor track. In front of the last station (3), the used foil ribbon is wound onto a second reel (8).
