The invention concerns improvements to automatic baggers. The bagger comprises a stand 1, means 2 of feeding with material to be bagged, means 3 of feeding with empty bags, gripping means comprising adhesive tapes or clamping devices or devices with needles to enable the opening and taking up of the empty bags, means 5 of gripping an open bag, means 6 of holding an open bag under the feed means 2 and means 8 of guiding and ejecting the filled bags towards closing means. The bagger is intended for small, medium or large capacity bags of variable dimensions made of all normal known materials including porous materials. <IMAGE>
