The light has one or more longitudinally extending lamps below which is a mirror screen, in which oppositely inclined reflector plates parallel to a lamp are connected by screen stages. The plates are parabolic breadthways in their upper area, and have a lower uneven section. This lower deep-radiating section (32) of the reflector plate (3) is in one area between 40 and 70 degrees to the vertical in a plane vertical to the lamp axis. The section can be parabolic, straight-lined, or hyperbolic, and is highly polished, having a basic aluminium structure with an eloxal coating. The upper section (31) of the plate (3) is parabolic, with the burn point of the corresponding parabola forming the centre point of the lamp. Light beams (7) coming into contact with this section are reflected in parallel fashion, radiating broadly through the housing aperture (13).
