PURPOSE:To provide a thin enclosed battery, having a long life, and excellent in fluid leakage resistance by forming an electrode terminal with two layers of a conductive resin layer and a metal layer. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode plate 1 and a negative electrode plate 2 are closely laminated via a separator 3 containing an electrolytic solution, constituting a power generating element as the whole, and they are encapsuled in a battery vessel 4. A positive electrode terminal 7 and a negative electrode terminal 8 are formed of two layers of a metal layer 9 and a conductive resin layer 10, and said conductive resin layer 10 is heated in a sheet form after mixing synthetic resin with a carbonaceous conductive material, e.g., single substance of graphite or acetylene black or a mixture thereof, or carbon fibers. The metal layer 9 is corrosion resistant metal foil or plate, and the conductive resin layer 10 and the metal layer 9 are strongly bonded together by heating and contact bonding. Moreover, a conductive resin layer is arranged on the outer surface of a battery container, so that it is possible to surely provide sealing effect between the battery container and electrode terminal, and interrupt a fluid leakage passage. |
