PURPOSE:To attain long-distance communication by performing branching added with an optical amplifying function. CONSTITUTION:An optical signal from an optical fiber 1 is converted into an electric signal by a photodetecting element 5 coupled by a connector, drives a light emitting element 6 via an amplifier circuit 7, a waveform shaping circuit 8 and a light emitting element driving circuit 9 sequentially, the signal is converted again into the optical signal and propagated to optical fibers 2, 3, 4 fixed adjacently by an optical connector to the light emitting element or whose end face is bonded thereto. |
