PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent picture quality by eliminating a disturbing signal generated in a band of a luminance signal when there exists less vertical correlativity in an object image to eliminate the disturbance signal without deteriorating the vertical resolution. CONSTITUTION:A color carrier signal separated by band pass filters 27, 28 is applied to synchronizing detectors 29, 30 for attaining synchronism detection, the signals are subtracted by a subtraction circuit 31 and full-wave rectification is attained at a rectifier circuit 32. The output of the rectifier circuit 32 represents the degree of vertical correlation of an object image, this output is applied to a switch 35 via a filter 33, a trap circuit 34 is connected to a luminance signal path only when the vertical correlation is less to eliminate the frequency component being the disturbing signal in the band of the luminance signal. |
