PURPOSE:To attain reading with a high speed and high accuracy and to obtain an image sensor with low power consumption and high reliability by forming a sensor section and a scanning section comprising a bipolar transistor group on one chip. CONSTITUTION:When a 2-bit signal is inputted to an input terminal 1, input transistors(TRs) 3-1-3-8 are controlled according to the logical level ''H'' or ''L''. A collector current flows to each TR when the base potential of a pair of TRs is both at ''H'' only, and the collector current is turned off for the combination of other input levels. Suppose that a potential at a terminal A is at ''H'' and that at a terminal B is at ''L'', the set of the TRs 3-5,3-6 only is turned on, resulting that only a PNP TR 5-3 is turned on, a photo TR 6-3 is charged and the signal is read out. No current flows to the other photo TRs the TRs are brought into discharge state. |
