Coupler-switch characterised in that it is composed of a holographic deflecting plate 6 having several elementary holograms 17, which plate is translationally movable in a fixture 10 which is itself movable, of a holographic coupling plate 8 parallel to the plate 6 carried by the fixture 10 and disposed at the entrance of a fibre-optic cable, the said coupling plate 8 having, depending on the case, one elementary hologram 18 per concentric circular scanning zone or a plurality of elementary holograms according to a disposition having the image of the cross-section of the cable. This invention is more particularly of interest to manufacturers of telecommunication equipment. <IMAGE>
