PURPOSE:To avoid deformation of windings at a cooling duct part, by arranging arc shaped rigid plates at inner and outer surfaces of a cooling duct, and supporting a mechanical force at the time of the short circuit of the winding by the rigid plates. CONSTITUTION:A cooling duct 4 is a gap part, which is formed between high voltage windings 7. Rigid plates 30 have a thickness several times-several hundred times larger than that of a metal sheet 13, and are arranged on the surface of the windings provided on the duct 4. For the rigid plates 30, a metal such as aluminum, copper and stainless steel, which has generally excellent conductivity, is used. The thickness is determined so that the plate is not deformed by a mechanical force, which is applied in the radial direction at the time of short circuitof the windings, and, in general, about 0.5mm. is desirable. The length of the winding in the stacking direction is made approximately equal to the length of the metal sheet 13. The rigid plate 30 surround the cooling duct 4 from the inside and outside and are arranged along the approximately entire surface of the windings. Duct pieces 11 are inserted between the windings. |
