PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of noise, by determining a target cylinder of plural oscillation sensors and taking in output signals of oscillation sensors for a prescribed time after the time, when the piston of the target cylinder reaches the top dead center, to discriminate knocking. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of knocking sensors 18A and 18B for which the target cylinder is determined are taken in through filters 60A and 60B, integrators 63A and 63B, a switching circuit 66, an A/D converter 68, and an input/output port 44, and their peak values are taken in through a switching circuit 52 and a peak holding circuit 61. The cylinder which reaches the top dead center is discriminated on a basis of outputs of a cylinder sensor 30 and a rotation angle sensor 32, and peak values and integral values for a certain time of corresponding knocking sensors 18A and 18B are selected and taken in by switching circuits 52 and 66. These values are discriminated to detect whether knocking exists or not. |
