A device for sensing breakage of textile fibre bundles in textile machines, particularly drawframes comprises a groove 2 for guiding the bundle, which is formed in the body 1 of the device, a light pulse source mounted in a direction normal to the fibre bundle, and oppositely thereto a receiving photoelement synchronized therewith.
