PURPOSE:To obtain the high sealing performance without increasing seal repulsive force by integrally installing a stay having a lip, into a hollow lip, in the captioned strip which has a hollow lip integrally formed with a base and is suitable for a sashless-door type car. CONSTITUTION:A door weather strip consists of a base part 1 and a hollow lip 2, and the base part 1 is fixed onto the opened edge 6 of a chassis through a retainer plate 5. In this case, a stay 4 bent nearly in the form ''?'' is installed integrally in the hollow part 3 of the hollow lip 2, with one edge connected to the base part 1 and the other edge connected to a lip supporting wall 12'', namely to the back part of the seal surface S of the hollow lip 2. Onto said stay 4, a lip 8 which protrudes to the back side of the seal surface from the intermediate part of the stay 4. Therefore, the high sealing performance can be obtained when the door is closed, since the deformation of the supporting wall 2'' in the case when the peripheral edge of a door glass G contacts onto the seal surface S can be supported by the lip 8. |
