PURPOSE:To perform positioning of both outer side faces easily and accurately by forming a step in the way of curved face at lower end of pillar outer side face while forming a flat face section from the step section then lapping the flat face section over the sill outer upper face. CONSTITUTION:A step section 4c is provided in the way of curved face 4a at the lower end section of front side face of rear pillar outer 4A while a flat face section 4b is formed at the end. Then the flat face section 4b is lapped over the step section 1a at the rear end of sill outer 1A upper face and spot welded. Consequently the flat face section is made clear and the worker can confirm with eye to position the flat face section 4b accurately on the step section 1a of sill outer 1A upper face. While since the flat face projection length from curved face 4a to the end of flat face section 4b is shortened, the lower width is enlarged by that to improve getting on/off performance. |
