PURPOSE:To eliminate useless consumption of energy in a compressor due to thermal load and reduce the dimension of the compressor by installing at least two compressors and operation/stop-controlling the both compressors in separate ways in accordance with the temperature of the cold wind immediate passing through an evaporator. CONSTITUTION:A variable-capacity type rotary compressor 11 consisting of two rotary compressors 27 and 28 is installed, and connected to an evaporator 28, etc. through piping. Said compressor 11 is controlled by a microcomputer 86, which is constituted of a means for discriminating the quantity of the compressors 27 and 28 in operation. When the microcomputer 86 detects one-unit operation, and the temperature T immediately after passing through an evaporator 82 which is detected by a temperature sensor 88 lowers below a prescribed value T1, said unit is put into suspension, while when two units are in suspension and the temperature T rises over a prescribed value T2 (>T1), one unit is put into operation. When one unit is in operation and the temperature T rises over a prescribed value T4 (>T2), another unit is put into operation. |
