PURPOSE:To enable the operating position of an S-spring and a frame wire to be arbitrarily regulated, by a method wherein, in a support mechanism such as side support of a seat, a plurality of S-springs, one end of which is mounted to means for adjusting position, and a single frame wire are disposed on the surface side of a frame. CONSTITUTION:When employed for side support of a seat cushion, a support mechanism is formed such that a plurality of S-springs 2 are aligned at distances in the direction of width of a seat cushion frame 1 and on the frame 1, and a frame wire 3, formed approximately in a C-shape in top view, is disposed above the S-spring 2 row. The forward ends of each S-spring 2 and the frame wire 3 are mounted to the upper end of a link 4 of a position adjusting means through a mounting member 6. The rear end of each S-spring 2 is mounted to the frame 1, and the rear end of the frame wire 3 is joined to a portion located close to the rear end of the S-spring 2 row. The link 4 is positioned such that it is pivotally supported at its central bent part by means of a pin 5, and when a block 11 is moved backward through rotation of a screw shaft 8 by the use of a knob 10, the link is rocked through the medium of a rod 13 and a block 15. |
