The ball or roller bearing seal is particularly for a grooved ball bearing, having a sealing washer between the races and fixed to one of them, with two lips near the other, working against axial inner and outer faces of the latter. One lip is initially clear of its respective face, against which it is pre-loaded by distortion of the other lip. Initially the outer lip (11) in the axial direction is held clear in the radial direction of its respective face (7), while the other lip (10) engages in an annular grooved (5) in the race, bearing against the inside flank, in the axial direction, of the groove, and which forms the other face (6). |
