In a process for cartridging pulverulent explosives on multi-spindle filling machines, the explosive is in each case, by means of, at each filling point, a driven internal spindle formed as a screw and an external spindle formed as a hollow spindle and driven in common with the internal spindle, taken along by the rotation of the internal spindle and the external spindle. When a preset filling quantity in a packaging jacket has been reached, the spindles are stopped. During cartridging, the spindles are driven in common via a gearbox. In order to maintain the cartridge weights and the density of the explosive filled into the cartridge with sufficient accuracy, it is provided that the speed of rotation of each individual combination of the internal and external spindle is separately varied, during running production, by means of small control gears.
