PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of generating the clutch torque without increasing dimensions by increasing the pressure angle between gears up to 28 deg. to 35 deg. while constructing the side gear so that the relation between the back- side radius r1 and the tooth outer end part radius r2 is, r1>=r2, and increasing the radius of friction. CONSTITUTION:The pressure angle between a pinion gear 3 and a side gear 4 are constructed to be from 18 deg. to 35 deg., and the side gear 4 is constructed so that the relation between the tooth back-side radius r1 and the tooth outer end part radius r2 is, r1>=r2. The increase in the pressure angle between the gears up to the range of 28 deg. to 35 deg. enables the generation of thrust force greater than the conventional one resulting in enhanced efficiency of qenerating clutch torque, while by constructing the side gear 4 so that the relation between the tooth back-side radius r1 and the tooth outer end part radius r2 is, r1>=r2, the friction radius r3 at the back side 4a of the side gear 4 is increased, and the capacity of the clutch torque is improved.
