A folding wheelchair frame construction comprises tubular side frames 7 of generally rectangular form joined by a lateral pair of cross- arranged braces 16, the braces being connected at their cross over zone by a bolt 21 so as to be freely pivotal. To improve the running performance of the wheelchair, the upper ends of the braces are attached to the top of the frame sides (or to seat supporting stringers 14 carried by the frame) by means of resilient connectors, and preferably also the lower ends of the cross arranged braces are attached to lower portions of the side frames by resilient members. <IMAGE> |
