A supporting device for conveyors comprises a wheel with an outer and inner track rim and a number of rolling bodies accommodated in between and a supporting yoke. The supporting yoke has an opening of non-circular cross-section and the inner track rim defines a through-bore which is non-circular in section. A shank provided with a head extends through the inner track rim into the opening of the yoke. The shank has an outer surface which is non-circular in section and interacts with the inner track rim and the opening in order to prevent relative rotation. The shank has a bore which is provided with a thread and accommodates a fastening part which is provided with a thread and extends through the yoke opening. The shank, the inner track rim and the yoke are dimensioned in such a way that the shank normally extends into the yoke opening but not through the opening so that simple removal of the wheel without affecting the yoke is made possible.
